Goals for our 2026 Season

We will continue to expose the unique late Iron Age I palace complex in Area A along with expanding the Iron Age IIA industrial installations (kilns, ovens) in this area.

In Area K, the extensive Iron IIA storeroom complex and possible gatehouse will be further excavated and we will be searching for additional storerooms to the west.

This season we plan to return to Area B on the acropolis of the tell to continue exposing the massive 9th century BCE citadel that overlooks the valley.
